The Music Connection will be offering a variety of music programs for all ages and abilities.
“We have a variety of private lesson instruments taught including violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, voice, piano, trombone, drums, flute, and harp.”
The Music Connection also has a curriculum for early childhood, Music in the Box. Classes are offered at the Orland studio on Sundays to accommodate working parents and on Tuesday mornings in Frankfort. Family music is designed for children 0-5 and parent. Children that are 3 may be enrolled in Music Masters 3. Children 3 ½-5 years will enjoy Music Maestro Class.
Saturdays in Orland Try it and See for various instruments will be offered. The class will run 8 weeks and instruments such as piano, violin, cello, guitar, and drums will be shown to children each week. Children will get some “try it” hands on time in class.
Weekend Blend is offered on violin and piano. Children learn to play violin or piano in group class. “This year is year #2 of this new program” said Janet Kuester. “Students and parents both love the program because children learn together and have time to learn new concepts through games and activities and can play music together as well.”
Kidz Rock is offered in the Frankfort studio. It is a program for 4-7 year old students that gives them their first rock band experience. Mindy Sondag, Music Connection piano teacher, will chair the program this year. The curriculum was developed by Dave Simon in St. Louis.
Adult Harp class will be offered in the Orland Park studio on Thursdays. No experience necessary.
New this year is Meet the Cello. Monica Sliva will teach this class for 3 ½-5 year olds and their parents. Class will be held in Frankfort from 3-4 pm on Mondays.
